'Girl Crush' is the Girls Who Grind house bean, and for good reason. Perfect for espresso, the coffee is sweet and smooth with a subtle acidity. With tasting notes of Milk Chocolate, Nougat, Praline and Red Fruit it's popular for a reason!

Girl Crush can sometimes be a single-origin bean, or a blend - depending on what is available (and what's delicious). At the moment, the beans are sourced from Mió. Founded by all-female team Cris Gerbasi, Ana Luiza and Renata Parisi, Mió aim for supply chain transparency and traceability. 

As well as this, Mió are sustainably minded, making use of technology to ensure total trasparency. They are keen to benefit the local economy through social and environmental projects which provide stability to the community.  

Girls Who Grind recommend a recipe of 18g in - 36g out for espresso - but it's a pretty forgiving bean and will tend to taste great no matter how you brew it.

About the brand

Girls Who Grind are a pro-coffee, anti-patriarchy speciality coffee roastery based in Somerset. Founded by Fi O'Brien and Casey LaLonde, their aim is to support the most important people in the coffee industry - the women who make it.

Working exclusively with female farmers and producers, they proudly support their suppliers with a 'Cheek to Cheek' initiative, giving 10% of sales straight back to their partners to support them, as well as telling the incredible stories of their work.

UK Shipping options

Standard shipping 3-5 working days: Flat rate fee of £4.99 across all orders

Express shipping 1-2 working days: Premium fee of £7.99 across all orders

Please note that shipping times may vary from those estimated. 

Europe & International shipping

We do not ship outside of the UK due to the carbon emissions associated with doing so. 

We believe in supporting local businesses, so if you are outside of the UK and would like to buy one of our products, we would encourage you to research craftspeople local to you. 

Returns

In Store Purchases

All in-store purchases are non-refundable. 

Within 7 days, we can offer an exchange for item(s) of the same value, or a credit note. Credit notes are valid for 12 months from issue date and will be sent to the customer via email. 

Online Purchases

We kindly ask that you double check your measurements and requirements before making a purchase, in order to reduce the carbon emissions of shipping returns. If you have any questions about a particular item, we will be happy to help and advise. Please send us an email to hello@mimmostudios.com. 

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at hello@mimmostudios.com. If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on how and where to send your package. You will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. We cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit being returned, so recommend you use a tracked or signed postal service to avoid issue. We will also require proof of postage. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Shipping costs will not be refunded.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned and sales are final;

  • Perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants),
  • Custom products (such as special orders or personalised items),
  • Original artworks
  • Personal care goods (such as beauty products),
  • Earrings,
  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases,
  • Sale items,
  • Gift cards.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
