Written by Douglas Mannering and published by Optimum Books in 1983, this book ia a cataloge of the work of French artist Henri Matisse.

"In the early 1900s Matisse emerged as one of the Fauves, the group of Parisian painters famous for their bold non-naturalistic use of colour and their free brushwork. Unlike many of his contemporaries, he eschewed depressing subject matter, continuing to work in the 'fine art' tradition and taking as his subjects beautiful women, still-lifes and interiors..."

Please note that these books are preloved, so may have some imperfections, and we'd like to celebrate that with you!

Our favourite pastime is rummaging through shelves of books for interesting and unique publications, and so our range of secondhand and vintage books is cherry-picked by MIMMO Studios co-founders Katie & Lil in collaboration with our local Oxfam Bookshop in Cheltenham.

Oxfam receives 75% of the revenue from sales of our selection of books.
