Oozing subtle charm, the Paloma sunglasses by Auór reference refined 90s supermodel glamour and an effortless sophistication that knows no bounds.

Finished with a captivating elongated almond-eye-shaped frame, the Paloma has an iconically wearable silhouette that flatters just about any face with ease. Hypnotically simple yet dramatic, the Paloma lives up to its Latin etymological meaning of ‘dove’ through its delicate, simplistic shape.

As with all of their pieces, Auór handcrafts the Paloma loyally in Italy, where each pair of sunglasses individually takes up to 15 days to make. Using cotton and wood pulp to create the cellulose acetate that goes on to form the frame of the glasses, founders Kristen and Claire centre their business model around circularity and conscious production.

This keen dedication to quality products and ethical manufacturing is a beautiful way for Kristen and Claire to exercise their ‘less is more’ philosophy, and we just adore how thoughtfully made their beautiful eyewear is. To channel your sophisticated side even further, we love the idea of pairing the Paloma with Folde Jewellery’s Recycled Silver ETIENNE 02 and ETIENNE 03 Hairslides to subtly elevate your already polished look to new heights of understated luxury.

About the brand

Just like MIMMO Studios, Auór was founded by two female friends looking to do things differently. Designed between London and New Zealand by Kristen and Claire, the brand’s focus is on quality and transparency.

Pioneering a slow fashion supply chain, Auór works with factories in Italy to create limited runs of their meticulously crafted frames, which gives them their ‘Made in Italy’ certification. From start to finish there are 70 steps in total, and it can take between five to fifteen days to make a single pair of glasses.

Auór works to a ‘less is more’ philosophy in an effort to avoid excess of any kind. A true antidote to fast fashion.
