Auór proudly handcrafts all of their frames in Italy and ensures quality comes before quantity in their business model, where founders Kristen and Claire put transparency and conscious production at the heart of their philosophy. Carefully selecting cotton and wood-pulp-derived cellulose acetate as the material for their sunglasses, Auór stops at nothing when it comes to ethical manufacturing for their wonderful business.

auór eyewear is designed in Australia and handcrafted in Italy using only European materials.

The cellulose acetates are made by family-owned Italian companies Mazzucchelli and LAES and derived from cotton and wood pulp, making it an ethical choice of material to use. The lenses are made in Italy by Divel Italia and hinges and wire temples in Germany. 100% Handmade In Italy Certified.

About the brand

Just like MIMMO Studios, Auór was founded by two female friends looking to do things differently. Designed between London and New Zealand by Kristen and Claire, the brand’s focus is on quality and transparency.

Pioneering a slow fashion supply chain, Auór works with factories in Italy to create limited runs of their meticulously crafted frames, which gives them their ‘Made in Italy’ certification. From start to finish there are 70 steps in total, and it can take between five to fifteen days to make a single pair of glasses.

Auór works to a ‘less is more’ philosophy in an effort to avoid excess of any kind. A true antidote to fast fashion.

We do not ship outside of the UK due to the carbon emissions associated with doing so. 

We believe in supporting local businesses, so if you are outside of the UK and would like to buy one of our products, we would encourage you to research craftspeople local to you. 


In Store Purchases

All in-store purchases are non-refundable. 

Within 7 days, we can offer an exchange for item(s) of the same value, or a credit note. Credit notes are valid for 12 months from issue date and will be sent to the customer via email.

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on how and where to send your package. You will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. We cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit being returned, so recommend you use a tracked or signed postal service to avoid issue. We will also require proof of postage. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Shipping costs will not be refunded.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue.

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
