After the yarn has been sourced, highly skilled craftspeople in both regions locally create each piece for Howlin’.

Howlin’ is a playful Antwerp-based knitwear brand that, since 1981, has centred practice around producing quality, timeless knitwear that plays on traditional manufacturing processes.

Using classical knitting production lines, Howlin’ strays from convention when it comes to shape, colour and pattern in their pieces, breathing fresh life into quintessential craftsmanship. From jumpers to cardigans and accessories, Howlin’s cheerful artistry is infectious.

Each of Howlin’s garments is made lovingly in either Scotland, Ireland or Belgium by skilled craftspeople using the highest quality yarns possible, where respect towards the rich weaving heritage of each country is paid, hybridising old and new technologies and designs. Working closely with family-run wool businesses in these locations, Howlin’ celebrates the small but mighty people that keep conscious knitwear manufacturing alive.

We do not ship outside of the UK due to the carbon emissions associated with doing so.

In Store Purchases

All in-store purchases are non-refundable. 

Within 7 days, we can offer an exchange for item(s) of the same value, or a credit note. Credit notes are valid for 12 months from issue date and will be sent to the customer via email.

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on how and where to send your package. You will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. We cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit being returned, so recommend you use a tracked or signed postal service to avoid issue. We will also require proof of postage. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Shipping costs will not be refunded.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue.

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
