This curious little Sun Dog is a laser-cut alternative if traditional baubles and gaudy tinsel aren’t your thing. Fashioned from 6mm plywood and stained in a rich dark oak hue, Soosumsee’s collection of mysterious ornaments look exquisitely straight out of a Tim Burton film.
Working from her studio in Manchester, UK, Bec Kirby, creator of Soosumsee, uses the business to hone her skills in textiles, painting and design, whilst incorporating conscious manufacturing processes into her wider strategy, too. Centring her work around animal welfare and sustainability, Bec uses only dead stock yarns and ethically sourced materials when creating each of her pieces.
We adore the ingenuitive way Soosumsee responds to convention when it comes to Christmas decorations; the Sun Dog is a testament to the memorable and charming way Bec works with both design and the planet in mind. Based in founder Bec Kirby’s Manchester, UK Studio, Soosumsee is a project that experiments with the relationship between space, object and emotion.
Bec, an artist by nature who dabbles with painting and textiles, centres her brand around animal welfare and responsible production practices, using solely deadstock yarns and ethically sourced materials in all of her wonderful pieces.
With iconic and highly memorable collections of works at Soosumsee, Bec experiments with illustration, laser cutting and textiles to craft her curious, distinctively unique portfolio of products. Hand staining, drawing and painting her pieces, Bec approaches her craft with a refreshing artistic flare often lost in mainstream, mass-produced design and manufacturing processes.

In Store Purchases
All in-store purchases are non-refundable.
Within 7 days, we can offer an exchange for item(s) of the same value, or a credit note. Credit notes are valid for 12 months from issue date and will be sent to the customer via email.
Online Purchases
We kindly ask that you double check your measurements and requirements before making a purchase, in order to reduce the carbon emissions of shipping returns. If you have any questions about a particular item, we will be happy to help and advise. Please send us an email to hello@mimmostudios.com.
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at hello@mimmostudios.com. If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on how and where to send your package. You will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. We cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit being returned, so recommend you use a tracked or signed postal service to avoid issue. We will also require proof of postage. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Shipping costs will not be refunded.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned and sales are final;

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
