The Xi Atelier Linen Yves Coat is a celebration of the classic trench coat, combined with a nod to utilitarian workwear. 

The Yves Coat is simple, clean and straightforward in its shape, making it wearable in any context. The waist belt is removable, but can be worn through the belt loops too. The flap patch pockets and centre back vent accentuate the clean lines of the jacket. 

Made from durable high quality Linen, the coat features Corozo buttons - therefore the entire garment is made from natural and biodegradable materials. 

Each piece is handmade by Xi Atelier Founder Sophie, who has spent many years honing her craft. At MIMMO Studios, we are real sticklers for detail, and we can attest to the immaculate quality of Sophie's work. 

The aim of Xi Atelier is to "offer a range of styles which are versatile and can be worn in multiple ways, for various occasions all year round - maximising the garment's versatility throughout each season. In this way garments can sustainably 'out-live' a single short trend or season." 

The Yves Coat looks amazing worn over cosy knitwear. We've opted for the Howlin' My Little Woolen Wonder Vest , but it would look equally good with the Ound Molle Jumper

Care Instructions

Machine wash on cool, gentle cycle, hang to dry. To iron it, spray it with water mist and iron at medium heat with steam.

About the brand

Xi Atelier is a Glasgow-based independent clothing brand founded in 2020 by Sophie Chen. Sophie is a designer and maker with a passion for sustainability, slow fashion and well-designed clothing.

Each and every garment is hand made to order by Sophie in her Glasgow studio in order to reduce overproduction and waste. Her meticulous attention to detail results in production of the highest standards - creating garments which will last longer than a lifetime. She considers the impact of every pattern piece, adapting her designs to reduce waste at every stage.

Her designs are timeless classics which can be styled multiple ways - making them wearable essentials.

Standard shipping 3-5 working days: Flat rate fee of £4.99 across all orders

Europe & International shipping

We do not ship outside of the UK due to the carbon emissions associated with doing so. 

We believe in supporting local businesses, so if you are outside of the UK and would like to buy one of our products, we would encourage you to research craftspeople local to you. 

Returns

In Store Purchases

All in-store purchases are non-refundable. 

Within 7 days, we can offer an exchange for item(s) of the same value, or a credit note. Credit notes are valid for 12 months from issue date and will be sent to the customer via email. 

Online Purchases

We kindly ask that you double check your measurements and requirements before making a purchase, in order to reduce the carbon emissions of shipping returns. If you have any questions about a particular item, we will be happy to help and advise. Please send us an email to hello@mimmostudios.com

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at hello@mimmostudios.com. If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on how and where to send your package. You will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. We cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit being returned, so recommend you use a tracked or signed postal service to avoid issue. We will also require proof of postage. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Shipping costs will not be refunded.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned and sales are final;

  • Perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants),
  • Custom products (such as special orders or personalised items),
  • Original artworks
  • Personal care goods (such as beauty products),
  • Earrings,
  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases,
  • Sale items,
  • Gift cards.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
