The Ray Ring by Folde Jewellery is hand made in London by creative duo Robyn and Birgit, co-founders of Folde Jewellery. 

Their brand celebrates every aspect of craft, from materials, design, development and the making process itself. The two have invested considerable time developing the techniques they use to make the Ray Ring. In this case, working with horn which is an ancient craft at risk of dying out, and learning new ways of working with it. 

By celebrating the natural texture and colour of the horn - usually a waste product from farming - they have taken the material and laid it into a contemporary setting, their recycled silver signet.

About the brand

Founded in London by Robyn Smith and Birgit Toke Tauka Frietman, Folde jewellery is a collaborative project between the two. Folde means ‘Earth’ in Old English, and the brand celebrates natural materials and British craftsmanship through their jewellery designs.

Respect for their materials and environmental consciousness are at the core of the brand. Folde uses Highland Horn which is a byproduct of the meat industry - Birgit and Robyn hope to breathe new life into the endangered craft of hornworking. The duo also make their jewellery from recycled silver. Each piece is made by hand in London in small batches or as one-offs.

Standard shipping 3-5 working days: 
Flat rate fee of £4.99 across all orders

Express shipping 1-2 working days: 
Premium fee of £7.99 across all orders

Europe & International shipping

We do not currently ship outside of the UK. We can arrange international shipping on an adhoc basis, please send us an email to hello@mimmostudios.com and we will be happy to facilitate. 

In Store Purchases

All in-store purchases are non-refundable. 

Within 7 days, we can offer an exchange for item(s) of the same value, or a credit note. Credit notes are valid for 12 months from issue date and will be sent to the customer via email. 

Online Purchases

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at hello@mimmostudios.com. If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on how and where to send your package. You will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. We cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit being returned, so recommend you use a tracked or signed postal service to avoid issue. We will also require proof of postage. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Shipping costs will not be refunded.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned and sales are final;

  • Preorder items
  • Perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants),
  • Custom products (such as special orders or personalised items),
  • Original artworks
  • Personal care goods (such as beauty products),
  • Earrings,
  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases,
  • Sale items,
  • Gift cards.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
