Hand Woven Linen & Wool Aoife Cushion
Hand Woven Linen & Wool Aoife Cushion
A collaboration with one of our best-selling brands, MIMMO Studios has worked with Shiv Textiles to create this exclusive design.
Both brands have sustainability as a primary objective, so we designed this colourway to transcend seasons. It happily suits Spring / Summer seasons as well as Autumn / Winter settings.
Shiv rescues fabric destined for landfill to combat the growing textile waste issue faced by the fashion industry. Hand weaving the lambswool and linen deadstock yarn on her loom in her studio in Brighton, the checkerboard design is intricate and unique.
Backed with upcycled sage green velvet, every aspect of the cushion is thoughtfully and ethically crafted.
With this in mind, due to the nature of production at Shiv Textiles, the large-scale fabric patterns used to create the Aoife cushion mean that no two cushions are ever the same. We appreciate the fact that celebrating individuality has never looked so effortless.

About the brand
About the brand
Greatly valuing regeneration, zero waste and offsetting carbon footprint, Siobhan Martin’s products breathe new energy into forgotten textiles. In 2017, Siobhan conceptualised Shiv Textiles in her bedroom as a reaction against the textile waste she’d witnessed first-hand by some of the fashion industry’s biggest names. Sourcing yarns, zips, threads and buttons all due for landfill, Siobhan crafted an empire for herself giving these once discarded items a new lease of life.
“This process never gets beige-and-boring. You have to think on your feet. Design with what you have. Every box of upcycled materials that lands in my studio feels like a small victory.”
Intricately handcrafted with care in Brighton, Shiv Textiles has proudly resurrected 797 kg of industrial textile waste since 2021; putting the planet first is at the heart of Siobhan's practice and has never looked so beautiful.
“We are on a mission to throw away our throwaway culture.”
