Ferrymans Wool Vest
Ferrymans Wool Vest
At the precipice of beautiful knitwear, The Wool Gatherers Workshop proudly presents their Ferrymans Wool Vest; a love letter to the artistically crafted wool spinning practices they as a brand celebrate in Chagford, Dartmoor.
Fashioned in 100% Alpaca wool with a thickly ribbed collar, armholes and hem, the Ferrymans Wool Vest is a cosy staple for chilly times and an ideal piece for layering. Pair it over a button-up blouse or tuck it away under a big wool trench coat to really maximise versatility.
The Wool Gatherers Workshop have made it their mission to consciously design and craft exquisite woollen knitwear, locally sourced in Dartmoor, UK. Working with the Natural Fibre Company to spin the local Alpaca Wool used in the Ferrymans Vest, craftspeople at The Wool Gatherers Workshop then create the knits themselves back in Chagford, Dartmoor.
We love the genuine care that goes into making each and every piece at The Wool Gatherers Workshop, their aspiration to create fully circular and beneficial knitwear is a revolutionary step in the right direction for conscious manufacturing in becoming the norm. Pair your Ferrymans Vest with the classic Fisherman Rib Wool Beanie and Skall Studio Gaby Coat.

About the brand
About the brand
Based in Chagford, Dartmoor, The Wool Gatherers are makers of consciously designed knitwear that uses locally sourced Dartmoor, UK wool.
An investigative project by nature, The Wool Gatherers have a personal commitment to learning about the production of wool itself, from spinning, weaving and knitting, supporting local Devonshire farmers in the process. Crafting jumpers, vests, scarves and hats, the brand takes pride in fashioning signature knitwear, lovingly crafted to last a lifetime.
Zoë, founder of the brand, takes a holistic approach to processes and materials at The Wool Gatherers, honouring the historic practice in Dartmoor by paying fair prices to local farming communities in this area and supporting the continuation of such heritage-rich practices in the UK.
