Marrying shape, colour and texture is an artist's most fundamental role, and Jack Paffett’s ‘Bedrock’ rises to this challenge with unrelenting simplicity and expression.

Bedrock is a passionately expressionistic work by Jack, built up from deep greens and warm peachy creams, to welcome a curious and inspiring energy to your space. Signed and original, this painting is a timeless piece for any art lover’s collection, and one poised to be appreciated for life in your home.

As a British artist working in Bristol, Jack hand paints Bedrock and his other originals locally, yet his works travel widely across the world in exhibitions as far reaching as Los Angeles, California and Venice, Italy.

It's ambiguously formed artworks like Bedrock that have the ability to ask viewers questions without speaking, and we love this about Jack’s work. Bringing to fruition the beauty in the unknown, why not pair this work with others by Jack, like Dapple and Wild Flowers to create a wall of playful colour and shape in your space.

About the brand

Jack Paffet is a Bristol, UK-based artist who uses his work to tell ambiguous stories based on references to his surroundings.

Building upon layers of iconic expressionist oil paint and colour, Jack’s work is designed to feel interpretive and subjective in meaning, holding varied significance for each viewer. Coming from an education at Falmouth University, Jack lives currently in Bristol where his portfolio enjoys exhibitions across the world, from the US and Italy to places closer by in Cornwall.

With a characteristic flare for gestural abstraction, Jack’s work continues to hold pride of place at MIMMO Studios, where they are celebrated and marvelled constantly. Recently, his work ‘Blank Space’ won the Chubb Bulleid People's Choice Prize awarded by Wells Art Contemporary, Wells.
